Accreditation is a distinction granted to any institution meeting or exceeding the stated criteria of educational quality. The purposes of accreditation include:
- Assess and enhance the educational quality of an institution.

- Provide for public accountability.

- It is recognized as a qualified institution of higher learning with approved programs of study that meet recognized academic standards.
- It employs a professional staff.
- It has sufficient facilities and equipment.
- It is a stable and permanent fixture in the educational community.
This school voluntarily undergoes periodic accrediting evaluations by teams of qualified examiners including subject experts and specialists in occupational education and private school administration.

- Licensed by the West Virginia Counsel for Community and Technical College Education.
- Eligible institution under the Federal Stafford Loan Program (FSL) and Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (FPLUS).
- Eligible institution for Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Pell Grant and Federal WorkStudy (FWS) programs.
- Provides training services for the State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.
- Approved for the training of Veterans and eligible persons under the provisions of Title 38, United States Code.
