Better Your Odds with an Associate Degree in Business Administration

Posted Tuesday, Nov 22, 2011 by Allen B. Ury

Although having a college degree cannot guarantee you a job, not having a degree will make your situation even more difficult.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) recently published these figures on unemployment as a function of education for Americans 25 years and older as of October 2011:*

Less than a high school diploma: 13.8%
High school graduate (no college): 9.6%
Some college or associate degree: 8.3%
Bachelor’s degree and higher: 4.4%

Clearly, education pays. Even an associate degree can significantly better your employment odds compared to having just a high school diploma.

College DegreeIf you’re looking to tip the odds in your favor and you live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, consider earning an associate degree in Business Administration at Everest College’s Fort Worth South campus.

Classes are taught by business professionals who bring real-world experience to their classrooms, and there is a heavy focus on learning through the study of actual business scenarios.

What Can You Do with Your Associate Degree?
