Train for a Paralegal Career at Everest in Ontario Metro

Posted Thursday, Dec 6, 2012 by Allen B. Ury

ParalegalYou don’t have to be a lawyer to work at a law firm. In the Los Angeles metro area, more than 7,000 paralegals and legal assistants work in law offices, corporate legal departments, and similar venues. That number is expected to climb to more than 8,700 by 2020.*

Paralegals do many of the routine jobs that used to be done by attorneys. This can include doing legal research, interviewing witnesses, filing motions and drafting legal documents like briefs, affidavits, wills and contracts.

When hiring paralegals and legal assistants, most employers require candidates to have, at minimum, an associate degree. And specialized training in paralegal skills is usually preferred as well.

If you live or work in eastern Los Angeles County, Riverside County or western San Bernardino County, you can get both your degree and career training by earning an associate degree in Paralegal at Everest College in Ontario Metro.
