ParalegalDeskAre you interested in training for a paralegal career? If you live or work in Orange County, Calif., you can get the knowledge, skills and experience you need to qualify for entry-level positions in the paralegal field at Everest College in Anaheim.

At its Anaheim campus, Everest offers an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Paralegal program you can complete in as little as two years. The program covers a wide range of topics directly relevant to preparing you to work in a law office, corporate legal department, government agency or any other office where paralegals are employed. As a student in our Paralegal program, you’ll have an opportunity to study:

  • Legal research and writing
  • Torts
  • Contract law
  • Wills, trusts and probate
  • Family law
  • Civil procedure
  • Law office management

A Real-World Education

Your instructors will be professional paralegals who have personal experience working with attorneys and meeting their demands. They will be able to give you the inside scoop on what you can expect out in the real world, and how to make the most of your paralegal education.

Much of your education will take place in a workshop-like environment where you’ll study in small groups with your fellow paralegal students. You’ll practice many of the skills you’ll use on the job, including doing legal research, writing contracts and interviewing “witnesses.” And you’ll be challenged to find solutions to scenarios drawn from actual legal cases.

Career Services Support

During your paralegal education, you’ll spend time learning business etiquette and other soft skills that can help you succeed in the working world. After graduation, Everest’s Career Services team can provide further support by offering help with resume writing, interview preparation and, most important of all, setting up appointments with prospective employers. As an Everest graduate, Career Services support will remain available to you throughout your paralegal career.
