Posted Wednesday, Jan 26, 2011 by Allen B. Ury

MIBCThe campus, located in Orlando’s Southpark Center Loop, offers an associate degree program that can prepare you to compete for entry-level jobs in MIBC in as little as 24 months. Career Services assistance for graduates is also offered at the Everest campus.

What is MIBC?

Today, most medical insurance claims are processed electronically. Rather than requiring people to write out the full names of diagnoses, procedures, medications, etc., the industry has developed a series of alpha-numeric code that can be more easily entered into reports, claim forms, etc. Understanding and utilizing these codes takes time and training. Over the years, it has become a specialty with its own career path.

Where do MIBC specialists work?

MIBC specialists can be found in a variety of locations. These include:

  • Physicians’ offices
  • Medical clinics
  • Insurance companies
