Where to Learn Medical Insurance Billing and Coding in Philly Metro

If you live or work in the northeast Philadelphia metro area, you can train for a career in Medical Insurance Billing and Coding (MIBC) at the new Everest Institute campus in Bensalem. The campus, located just a half-mile west of the Parx Racing and Casino complex, offers a diploma program that can prepare you to compete for entry-level jobs in MIBC in as little as eight months. Career Services assistance for graduates is also offered at Everest campuses.
What Is MIBC?
Most doctors’ offices, hospitals, clinics and other health care facilities process insurance claims electronically. To speed this process, the industry has developed a series of alpha-numeric codes to identify various conditions, procedures, drugs, etc. Understanding and utilizing these codes takes time and training. Over the years, it has become a specialty with its own career path.
