For the Alhambra campus of Everest College, formerly Bryman College, making a difference in the lives of its students is an important mission. Centrally located near the Southern California cities of Temple City, San Gabriel and Pasadena, Everest College in Alhambra is committed to helping students fulfill their dreams by providing an industry-specific career education that many employers value. The Career Services department is dedicated to making sure students are prepared and qualified to seek entry-level employment when it comes time to launch a career.
Additionally, through charitable efforts such as partnering with the Red Cross for monthly blood drives, students are encouraged to take part in ways that can help others in the community while also enhancing their own lives. Some of the ways include:
Community Health and Outreach Efforts - Every month, the Alhambra campus partners with the local Red Cross to conduct a community blood drive. Students and faculty at the campus and anyone from the community can participate.
At present, the Alhambra campus is involved in community outreach and fundraising events. In partnership with the Ronald McDonald House of Pasadena, aluminum tops from cans will be collected and the proceeds will go towards the needs of family members who cannot afford housing while their children are admitted to a pediatric center.
Holiday Activities - Each winter, the Alhambra campus is dedicated to a toy and clothing drive. The Thanksgiving drive provides food for area residents.
Program Related Initiatives - The Alhambra campus employs a full-time tutor along with instructors who are happy to offer specific tutoring sessions for students as needed.
In-House Program Clinic - Students from each program offered at the Alhambra campus participate in an employee in-house clinic to learn how their own program operates as a business in a real life scenario.
The student ambassador program - This program provides help to students in need of assistance from other peer-level students. Students who offer their help, along with those students who receive it, can benefit tremendously through the exchange. The student ambassador program is all about students helping students.
Memberships - Everest College in Alhambra is a member of the local Alhambra Chamber of Commerce. The Alhambra campus is proud to be an integral part of the community and assist in driving the change that can help make a difference in the lives of Alhambra citizens.
CARE Program - Sooner or later, everyone has a challenging situation that could get in the way of completing educational goals. From support groups, developing interviewing skills, housing needs, childcare resources, legal support services and more, the professional staff at the Alhambra campus is willing to reach out and help students.
