The Medical Billing and Coding program has been designed in partnership with the American Academy of Professional Coders. In this eight-month program, you will learn the basic concepts and procedures to perform the tasks in health insurance processing, including insurance claims – vital work to keep doctors and patients moving towards their common goal of wellness.

Medical Billing and Coding careers require attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and procedural knowledge of the health insurance industry. The Medical Billing and Coding training program at Everest helps students become proficient in the fundamental procedures, terminology, and professional skills needed to succeed and progress in a career in this field. Faculty are industry-trained professionals who help guide your development and progress on a module-by-module basis.

Focused on Career Preparation and Certification

Prepare yourself for a successful career while balancing the demands of daily life. Everest’s blended program features three days a week of hands-on classroom training with two days of flexible online learning, and is designed to be completed in eight months.

The curriculum is aligned with the AAPC certification standards and exam. Preparation and the testing fee for the CPC-Certified Professional Coder certification examination is included in the program. Graduates will also be eligible to take the CPB-Certified Professional Biller certification exam.
