Everest Institute in Austin is not like your traditional university or community college. This is a career college that focuses on getting you the knowledge, skills and experience local employers demand – and to do so as quickly as possible.

Everest’s programs are designed with an accelerated schedule that can have you through school and ready to work in less than a year. We also offer the benefits of small classes, instruction by experienced industry professionals, flexible class schedules and Career Service support with job-hunting after graduation. And you will have a team supporting you throughout your program and after graduation.

The Facility

Everest Institute’s Austin campus is located at 9100 U.S. Highway 290 East, at the intersection of Springdale Road and Hwy 290 East, just east of the intersection of 183 and 290, next to ITP and Waffle House. The campus includes:

  • Small classes where you can get the personal attention you may need
  • Large classrooms, including laboratory space
  • A student resource center where you'll find reading materials related to your academic programs as well as computers with full Internet access
  • Faculty and administrative offices

Campus Activities

Everest Institute’s Austin campus offers a variety of activities and events to give you a positive student experience. These include our:

  • Igniter Ambassador Program – It’s always good to have a friend watching your back. Igniter ambassadors are fellow students who make themselves available whenever you need help.
  • In-House Program Clinics – Prepare yourself for the working world with hands-on workshops in the skills you need to get a job – and get ahead!
  • CARE Program – Looking for help with child care, transportation, or personal budget management? Our CARE program can provide welcome support in times of need.

Community Involvement

Everest Institute in Austin values its community, and the faculty, staff and students make every effort to participate in various activities throughout the year to show support and to provide opportunities to help where possible.

Campus Resources

At Everest Institute's Austin campus, we have made every effort to provide you with the tools and resources you need to stay focused on reaching your educational goals. Our on-site resources include:

  • A Learning Resource Center that is open daily during normal school hours. Computers are available for student use.
  • Study groups for students to join to review classroom materials and prepare for tests. Meetings can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tutoring available from student ambassadors and instructors during normal school hours.
  • Bookstore services are available on the first day of class. Additional services are available as requested.
  • Vending machines that are situated throughout the campus.

Off-Site Resources

  • A variety of restaurants are located within a mile of the campus.
  • Several child care facilities are located within just a few minutes of the campus location.

Security and Safety

At Everest Institute's Austin campus, the security of our students and faculty is one of our priorities. To ensure your safety while at Everest, we provide the following:

  • Security officers available on campus during class hours
  • Well-lit campus and surrounding parking areas
  • Campus monitored by closed-circuit security cameras

Transportation and Parking

  • Everest Institute's Austin campus provides ample off-street parking at no cost.
  • The campus is located at the intersection of Highway 290 East and Springdale Road, just east of 183 and 290.
  • The campus offers a bus service available to students during the weekends from Killeen/Round Rock area.
  • The campus offers a student carpool service. To participate, as a Student Services representative.
