Information Technology Support Specialist Overview

Do you know what employers want for today's information technology (IT) positions? The Information Technology Support Specialist diploma program is a uniquely designed "workforce ready" IT training program aimed to deliver what employers seek: work experience, IT certifications, professional and soft skills, plus basic education.

The Information Technology Support Specialist program provides you the basic foundation and technical skill sets required for entry-level IT jobs. Plus, the program prepares students for key certification exams widely recognized in the IT field.

You will study all aspects of computer hardware, software and networking fundamentals. You will learn how to install, configure and use common workplace operating systems plus manage a Windows server environment. Your training can help you authenticate users, implement security policies and protect the client and server from various types of attacks.

You should also understand how to manage, configure, secure and troubleshoot various network topologies, technologies, protocols, media and devices; develop help desk support, customer service, and communication skills for customer satisfaction; and develop professionalism for the workplace environment.
