High School Initiatives
Are you a high school student graduating from one of Cook County's secondary education schools and are seeking another option for higher education? Everest College’s Bedford Park campus offers a variety of health care career training programs that could serve as preparation and a springboard for additional health care careers later. The campus will have programs reaching out to the faculty and students at area high schools to share Everest's educational value proposition.
Tutoring
Weekly scheduled tutoring will be available to students through faculty members or chairs, as well as the faculty members or chairs on an on-demand basis to assist students with studies.
Career Placement Services
The Bedford Park campus puts a premium on helping its graduates find jobs. Everest's Career Services team is dedicated to helping graduates prepare for new careers through a strong network of employers who know the value of an Everest graduate. By helping them with job listings, fine-tuning resumés and interviewing techniques, Bedford Park helps its graduates succeed in their new careers. But it takes two to succeed. Community Health Initiatives
Students of Bedford Park's health care programs will periodically go into the community to work with other health care providers serving underprivileged residents. The initiatives range from working local health fairs to assisting physicians with health care screenings and more. The students gain valuable experience while under the supervision of a health care professional and the residents benefit from valuable health care services.
Regional Interest
The Bedford Park Campus is one of several Everest schools in Illinois and is adjacent to the Chicago Midway International Airport. The campus is flanked by the Ford City Mall Shopping Center and by the Toyota Park stadium, home of the Chicago Fire Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise. The Village of Bedford Park is part of the Chicago Metropolitan Area.
Transportation, Highways and Byways
Bedford Park is located close to all major forms of transportation systems and arteries including the Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) rapid transit Orange Line, and the I-55 and I-294 interstates. Nearby state routes include Illinois 43 and 171.
Bus stops are located just across the street from the campus at the Ford City Mall Shopping Center with bus routes including 379, 382, 383, 384, 385 and 386.
