At Everest College – Fort Worth South campus, located in the Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington region in Texas, connecting with local neighborhoods is one of the most important goals for making an impact at the community level. It begins with dedicated members of the Everest team and its students by working in every direction to be a partner in the community.
Education Program Efforts
Health Screenings – Students from the Medical Assistant and other health care programs volunteer with local physicians to conduct health screenings and physicals for high school students.
Professional Clothing Drive – Everest partners with local malls and stores to provide new, unused clothing for students to have a professional wardrobe when job interviewing and beginning their new careers. They also tap business resources to find new jobs for students and graduates.
Keeping Students on Track – Everest team members feel that students shouldn't have to sacrifice their important education when they experience car trouble, canceled baby sitters, or even something as simple as missing a hot meal. The Student Services Outreach team has relationships with the community to assist students with needs they may have — from bus passes, temporary baby sitting, and even food banks to help students stay on track toward their new career training.
Community Efforts and Holidays
Church Outreach – Churches in the community are a great resource for students and families when needed — from support and assistance to spiritual guidance and more. Everest's team members are there to partner with churches in that outreach effort.
Friends and Family Day – Staff members at the Fort Worth South campus know that its students and neighboring community are family focused. In an effort to reinforce those values, Everest hosts its annual Friends and Family Day to extend a sincere thank you to its students, their families and the community.
Community Organizations – In addition to the many community programs at Everest, faculty and students participate heavily in:
Holiday Activities – Each year, students, faculty and the community at large participate in various holiday events. Some of those events include:
It is a belief at Everest that the strength of the community can only be measured by the strength of the people within that community. Having the opportunity to impact that strength directly by offering quality education and beneficial resources to its students and in their neighborhoods can only serve to build a much better community overall.
In addition to Everest's fast track training, dedicated instructors with real-world experience, focused small work teams, and a stellar Career Placement Services team, students can truly find nurturing support and resources both within the campus walls, as well as through community resources.
