The Medical Administrative program facilitates the development of clerical skills and introduces students to clinical procedures, Alberta Health Care billing transactions, medical transcription and medical terminology. The 900-hour program combines lectures, hands-on learning via practical exercises, projects and exams, group discussions, on-line progress checks for immediate feedback, and courseware that is easy to understand.Active participation in our Learning System also helps students develop confidence in their abilities as health care professionals.
Career Opportunities
The Medical Administrative Assistant program prepares graduates for an exciting and fast-paced career in health care. Employment opportunities exist for graduates in medical clinics, specialists´ offices, insurance companies and acute or extended care hospitals. Placement assistance is available through our Employment Services Department.
