Patient Care Technician Program
The Patient Care Technician program can prepare you to provide direct care to individuals in a variety of health care environments. You can gain technical expertise to provide effective clinical assistance to patients.
You can work alongside doctors and other health care professionals to oversee and monitor patients. Your education may combine basic medical knowledge and hands-on skills gathered in the classroom and laboratory.
Patient Care Technician Class Training
The Patient Care Technician program can provide you with training to perform clinical tasks such as:
You may receive instruction in anatomy and physiology, understanding body functions and related illnesses. You can also have a thorough understanding of medical terminology to aid in the collection and documentation of patient data.
Patient Care Career Opportunities
You can learn about the skills necessary to qualify for entry-level employment in a number of capacities. Job opportunities may be found in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers and assisted living facilities.
Upon completion of this program, you may be eligible to be certified in basic life support from the National Safety Council. You may also be eligible to take exams to become certified as Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technicians, and Phlebotomy Technicians.
