Everest University’s South Orlando campus is located in the Greater Orlando metropolitan region in Florida and serves both Orange and Osceola counties. This vibrant, active campus aims to create a successful learning environment not only for its students, but also for its employees by understanding that if employees are happy, students can benefit from a quality education.
Opened in 1987 as the former Orlando College, this campus is one of Everest's largest facilities with 60,000 square feet on just one floor and is approximately a quarter-mile long from one end of the facility to the other.
Another vital campus initiative is to connect with local neighborhoods in an effort to impact at the community level. It begins with dedicated members of the Everest team and its students by working in every direction to be a partner in the community.
Community Efforts
Each year the staff and students, including the student ambassadors, observe and participate in a variety of awareness and fundraising activities including:
High School Initiatives
In an effort to bring awareness of Everest University programs and activities, the South Orlando campus is working with local and alternative high schools with presentations by campus representatives as well as busing students to the campus for a day of activities and tours.
Tutoring
Tutoring sessions are scheduled to help Everest students with general education efforts, review of classes for special certifications and licensing, and college algebra. Tutoring is also available on an as-needed basis for specific classes and programs.
Community and Program Related Initiatives
Efforts by South Orlando's health care students participate in a variety of efforts within the community. In addition to observing several health care observances, both in October, the campus supports the community in other ways as throughout the year.
