Paralegal Program
Join a profession that is expected to grow much faster than the average* among employment for all industries. There is a growing need for paralegals in the legal profession.
This program is designed to provide students with fundamental knowledge of legal terminology, substantive and procedural law, drafting and research. Graduates of this program will be qualified to assist an attorney in private or corporate practice.
You can learn about the necessary tools to provide vital assistance to lawyers, clients and courts.
The paralegal program prepares you to perform duties, under the supervision of an attorney, such as:
You will learn fundamental legal principles in the areas of criminal and civil procedure, tort, contract, wills and probate, and family law. In addition you will learn how to perform legal research, analyze cases and prepare case briefs.
Paralegals may not provide legal services directly to the public, except as permitted by law.
