Dental Assistant Careers
When you graduate from Everest's Dental Assistant career training program, you can be qualified to compete for entry-level positions in dental offices throughout the United States.* You will have a working knowledge of common dental procedures as well as experience working with such equipment as:
- Digital X-ray Units
- Model Trimmers
- Oral Evacuation Equipment
- Ultrasonic Units
Through your externship, you will also have experience working directly with patients. You'll know how to prepare patients for their examinations and advise them on practicing good oral health at home.
Over the years, thousands of Everest Dental Assistant program graduates have gone on to find positions as:
- Dental Assistants
- Dental Office Administrative Assistants and Receptionists
- Dental Insurance Clerks
- Dental Supply Salespeople
In addition to working for general dentists, many Everest graduates work for:
- Pediatric Dentists
- Oral Pathologists
- Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
And some of Everest’s graduates later go on to become dental hygienists. These are the specialists who actually clean teeth and perform other routine dental procedures. This career requires additional education and training. The rewards include even greater responsibilities and higher pay.
