If you are interesting in becoming a nurse, Everest offers a number of career training programs to help you get started. Everest's nursing programs include:
- Practical Nursing (Diploma) -- Practical nurses work under the direction of registered nurses or licensed physicians. Their duties can include administering medications, tending to wounds, monitoring vital signs and assisting patients with daily activities. Vocational nurses are also called practical nurses.
- Nursing (Associate) (ADN) -- This is a two-year associate degree program that fulfills the academic requirements you need to take the NCLEX-RN® (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses) licensing examination. As a registered nurse (RN), you can be qualified to care for patients in a wide range of facilities, including hospitals, medical centers, schools, urgent care centers, etc.*
